High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council BiH

In November 2009, MIA has organized and carried out a training program on the topic of effective web writing for about 40 persons, employees of BiH courts that are now included in the project of representing their courts within web portal www.pravosudje.ba. Trainees have successfully adopted the basics of writing news and other materials intended for internet users. Through concrete examples and exercises MIA experts transferred their vast knowledge of web journalism, including reporting on sensitive issues, and how to offer their web page visitors contents that will make them come back.


Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH

In 2009, MIA has worked on a new web presentation for the BIH Foreign Trade Chamber in several phases. In the first phase, we have created a design solution and developed content management system. In the second phase, after new website was launched, MIA team has conducted training for Chamber’s employees on how to use the website’s content management system. Meanwhile, our Video Production Department has produced five-minute long video presenting activities of this institution, which will be shown at fairs and other events in which the Chamber is participating or organizing itself.


Save the Children Norway (Regional Office for Southeast Europe, Sarajevo)

During 2009, our analysts, researchers, writers and design team worked with SCN on producing situation analysis report entitled “The State of Children’s Rights in BiH, Serbia and Montenegro”. In this process, we consulted and closely worked with the NGOs, child psychologists, doctors, parents, teachers, ombudsmen, ministries, communications experts, etc. in all three countries. In addition, we prepared and carried out questionnaires, conducted interviews and assessed capacities of dozens of stakeholders. All information from this report was based on our own research, dozens of the recent surveys carried out by governmental and non-governmental institutions and thousands of media reports MIA possesses in its archive.


Netherlands Development Agency (SNV)

MIA has been closely working with the SNV in its efforts to increase, through various gatherings and seminars, understanding and level of participation of the local authorities in the process of the European integrations. In December 2008, we have organized for the SNV a conference entitled “Demystifying the EU: A challenge for the Local Level”, held in Sarajevo, for over 130 municipal officials, representatives of higher level of authorities and representatives of the NGO sector. Besides organisation of this conference, MIA have provided the SNV with full PR support, including event promotion, organisation of press conferences, media appearances, and production of a 15-minute long video documentary and other promotional materials aimed at partners in project implementation and donors.


Regional Cooperation Council (RCC)

In the past two years, MIA design team has successfully cooperated with RCC on design and layout of various print materials aimed at promoting Council’s objectives and mission. Organization’s Factsheet and info flyer were printed in 12 languages that are used in Council’s member countries. Also, this year, MIA design team has created visual solution, layout and prepared for print report entitled “Annual Report of the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council on regional co-operation in South East Europe”.


Canada-BiH Judicial Reform Project (JRP)

Our PR specialists have been working closely with the JRP and their stakeholders in the justice sector to promote Project’s activities and achievements. We have organized series of press conferences following the Project’s implementation, including promotion of a highly important program “CODIFEL – conversion and electronic processing of utility cases backlog into digital format in the Sarajevo Municipal Court”. Besides organizing media promotion for JRP, MIA team has also been serving as a Project’s spokesperson (statements to media, interviews).


OHR/EUSR

Since its establishment, MIA has been providing 24/7, 365-day media monitoring and analysis services to the OHR/EUSR. These include distribution of a number of daily reports, including analyses on a wide-range of issues (situation analyses on media scenes, politics, education, judiciary, social issues, etc.); background papers on specific issues; materials useful for preparation of various events (conferences, gatherings, meetings…); etc.


Delegation of European Commission to BiH, US Embassy to BiH

MIA’s analysts, researchers and political/media strategists are at service on daily basis to these clients, providing input (analysis, recommendations, background information, etc.) necessary for strategic planning of activities, preparation of official visits, meetings, lobbying and negotiations, interviews, PR activities, etc.


OSCE, ICTY, NATO, EUFOR, number of foreign embassies, High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Registry of the Court of BiH, etc.

These clients are all regular subscribers to various reports produced by our Media Monitoring and Analysis Unit. MIA produces in total 12 daily reports, which assess key political, economic, social and rule of law related stories, and analyse trends in media reporting on the same issues. The products are used in both press information and political decision-making processes.

MIA has been providing press clipping and analysis services to these clients, including environmental analysis and assessment of client’s media exposure used for strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of communication action plan.


MITA Publicis Advertising agency, SALSA Agency, Webb Dowse - Intelligent Corporate Communications, Abrakadabra

These commercial consulting companies has been using MIA press clipping and media analysis services especially to analyse marketing and advertising power of their campaigns, and to assess a degree of achieved behavioural change among end-users or consumers of a particular concept, service or product.


Elections 2008

MIA provided political marketing services to a candidate (now a mayor) running for the local elections in one of Sarajevo municipalities. Our services included: capacity building for communications (PR, media relations and outreach activities, including trainings), communications strategy (determination of target audience, messages, communications channels, outreach activities, crisis communications, etc.), research, media monitoring and press clipping, competition intelligence, public surveying, etc.


International Finance Corporation (IFC)

In 2007 and 2008, MIA worked with this client to promote corporate governance, mediation as a way for alternative dispute resolution, international standards and technical regulations, and Recycling Linkages in the business sector. During the period of contract realization, MIA provided IFC with the following services: media monitoring and analyses, press conferences organization, project launches, trainings in media relations, and promotional material production and dissemination ((posters, leaflets, newsletters, guidebooks, etc.).
